Privacy Policy

Effective July 5, 2026

Noshera is a nutrition and health diary built and operated by Cajun Solutions LLC, a limited liability company based in Missouri, United States ("Noshera", "we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed past. If anything here is unclear, email us at [email protected].

The short version: your food logs, weight, and health data are yours. We do not sell them. We do not use them for advertising. We use them to give you the nutrition-tracking features you signed up for, and nothing else.

1. Who we are

The service is provided by Cajun Solutions LLC. You can reach us at [email protected] for any privacy question, data request, or complaint.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what the product needs to work.

Account information

When you create an account we collect your email address and an authentication credential, handled through our authentication provider (Supabase Auth). We store your password only as a salted hash; we never see or store it in plain text. You may optionally add a display name.

Data you log

Noshera is a diary, so most of what we hold is information you choose to enter:

  • Food and meal logs — what you ate, quantities, calories, and macronutrients, along with optional notes and photos you attach to a meal.
  • Body metrics — weight and, optionally, body fat percentage.
  • Water intake.
  • Activity / exercise energy — active energy burned and, optionally, steps.
  • Your custom content — custom foods, recipes, custom meals, and custom meal types you build.
  • Barcode contributions — if you contribute a product, the barcode and the photos you submit (product front, nutrition label, ingredients).

Apple Health (iOS app)

If you use the Noshera iOS app and grant permission, the app can read the following data from Apple Health (HealthKit) to save you from typing it in:

  • Body weight
  • Body fat percentage
  • Active (exercise) energy

This access is read-only and only happens after you explicitly allow it in the iOS permission prompt. Data read from Apple Health is stored in your own Noshera account (in our database, described below) solely to power Noshera's nutrition and health-tracking features.

We want to be explicit about how we treat HealthKit data, consistent with Apple's requirements:

  • We never use Health data for advertising or marketing.
  • We never sell Health data.
  • We never share Health data with third parties for their own purposes.
  • We use Health data only to provide the app's nutrition and health-tracking features to you.

You can revoke the app's access to Apple Health at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Noshera. Revoking access stops future reads; data already saved to your Noshera account stays until you delete it (see Your rights and choices).

Personal API tokens

If you create a personal API token (for example, to log meals through an AI assistant), we store only a one-way hash of the token plus a short display prefix. We cannot recover the original token, which is why we show it to you only once at creation.

Technical information

Like any web service, our hosting providers process basic technical data (such as IP address and request metadata) as part of serving requests and protecting the service from abuse. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not run third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

3. What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not use advertising networks or ad SDKs.
  • We do not use third-party analytics or behavioral-tracking SDKs.
  • We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

4. How we use your information

  • To provide the diary: storing and displaying your logs, totals, trends, streaks, and goals.
  • To operate your account and authenticate you.
  • To let you share a public journal feed only when you explicitly opt in (see below).
  • To respond to your support requests.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
  • To meet legal obligations.

5. Public journal sharing (opt-in)

Noshera lets you optionally publish a personal journal feed at a private, slug-based link that you generate. This is off by default. When you enable it, only the data you choose to include (for example, meals, and optionally weight or water) becomes viewable by anyone who has the link. You can disable or revoke a share link at any time, which stops public access going forward.

6. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with the infrastructure providers we use to run Noshera, and only so they can provide their service to us:

  • Supabase — our database and authentication host. Your account and logged data are stored in a Supabase Postgres database hosted in the Americas region.
  • Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery, and network security for the Noshera website (Cloudflare Pages).

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public. If Cajun Solutions LLC is ever involved in a merger or acquisition, we will require any successor to honor this policy or notify you of changes.

7. Crash diagnostics

We may use crash-reporting and diagnostics tooling to detect and fix defects. Any crash and diagnostic data is used solely to identify and fix problems in the app. It is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not shared with third parties for their own purposes.

8. Payments

Noshera does not currently process payments. If we introduce paid plans in the future, payment card details will be handled by a PCI-compliant payment processor (for example, Stripe) and Noshera will not store full card numbers. We will update this policy before any paid feature launches.

9. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account or specific data, we delete it from our production database (residual copies may persist briefly in encrypted backups before they age out on their normal rotation).

10. Your rights and choices

  • Access and export. You can export your data from within the app. You may also request a copy by emailing us.
  • Correction. You can edit or delete individual logs and entries at any time in the app.
  • Deletion. You can delete your entire account and all associated data yourself, in the app: Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. This erases your data from our production database immediately (foods you contributed to the shared public database are kept but anonymized). You can also email [email protected] and we will do it for you.
  • Apple Health. Disconnect Health access any time in iOS Settings, as described above.
  • Withdraw consent. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

11. Security

We protect your data with row-level security in the database (each user can only reach their own rows), encrypted connections, hashed credentials, and hashed API tokens. No system is perfectly secure, but we design Noshera so that a bug in one part of the app cannot expose another user's data.

12. Children

Noshera is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. EU/EEA and UK users

If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, we process your personal data on the following lawful bases: performance of a contract (providing the service you signed up for), your consent (for example, Apple Health access and public sharing, which you can withdraw), and our legitimate interests in securing and improving the service. Special-category health data is processed only with your explicit consent. Your data is stored in the Americas region; by using Noshera you understand your data will be processed there. You may contact us to exercise your access, correction, deletion, and portability rights.

14. California users

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. California residents may request access to or deletion of their personal information by emailing us; we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

15. Not medical advice

Noshera is a consumer wellness product, not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Information in the app is for general wellness and informational purposes only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about your diet, health, or a medical condition.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
